All dealings between Julia Sellars Makeup Artistry and any person ('Customer') relating to any goods and services provided or supplied by Julia Sellars Makeup Artistry are subject to the terms and conditions explained below.
By using this website and/or booking in with Julia Sellars Makeup Artistry, the Customer agrees to be bound by these Terms.
Julia Sellars Makeup Artistry has the right to remove or change these Terms at any time without notice. It is the Customer's responsibility to be aware of any changes made to these Terms.
Julia Sellars Makeup Artistry reserves the right to withdraw any Services without notice and will not be liable (if for any reason) the website is unavailable during any period.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Background
These terms and conditions govern your booking and the use of a Julia Sellars Makeup Artistry service.
By booking or using a service, you indicate you have read, understood and accept these terms and conditions.
2. Booking Information
Bookings are made via sending an enquiry through the Google Forms within the Bridal or Contact page, followed by an email/SMS response. Please allow minimum 48 hours for a response.
When enquiring please include:
- Date & preferred time (or time you need to be ready by)
- Best contact number & email address
- For group bookings please indicate how many people are included
- If you require mobile services and the location
A booking confirmation message or email will be sent out prior to your appointment.
3. Payment
A non - refundable and non - transferrable* deposit is required to secure all bookings.
Your appointment is not confirmed until proof of payment is sent through or payment is received. Appointment times are held for 24 hours however if no deposit is received within those 24 hours the appointment time will be forfeited and free for other clients to book.
An additional fee of $5 per 5km apply to all mobile services in which travel is required for bookings outside of my studio. Additional parking and toll fees may apply.
All payments and prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD).
4. Cancellations
You can manage your booking, including cancellations, by contacting us directly via email at makeupbyjulias@yahoo.com.
If you have a change of mind and/or want to cancel your booking, your deposit remains non - refundable. Cancellations less than 24 hours prior to the appointment time will result in the remaining amount to be paid, or you will not be booked in again.
Julia Sellars Makeup Artistry reserves the right to cancel bookings for any reason at any time. Under the circumstance that we do cancel your booking, your deposit will be refunded.
5. Late Arrivals/No Shows
If you are late to your appointment, we may need to shorten the length of your appointment. If you are more than 10 minutes late your appointment is automatically cancelled and your deposit remains non - refundable, and is not transferrable to a new date.
If you do not attend your booked appointment, we will cancel the appointment and reserve the right to retain your deposit. The remaining amount of your booking is to be paid or you will not be booked in again.
6. Privacy Policy
In order to provide the best service to our valued customers, Julia Sellars Makeup Artistry may request personal details such as your name, address, phone number or email address. If you choose to withhold requested personal information, Julia Sellars Makeup Artistry may not be able to provide you with the required customer service should that depend on the collection of that information, particularly if the collection of such information is required by law.
Julia Sellars Makeup Artistry will not sell or disclose ones personal information/details to any third party without consent unless for the purpose of purchase/deposit or to comply with laws, investigations or legal proceedings.
These terms and conditions are governed by laws in force in Victoria, Australia.
FAQ
1. Where are you located? Do you travel?
My studio is located in Lysterfield, Victoria. However for group bookings & weddings I offer travel at an additional fee. If you require mobile services and are not a group booking, you are welcome to contact me to discuss further.
2. Can I bring someone to my appointment?
Due to the size of my studio in order to bring someone to your appointment you must ask first. I reserve the right to turn away any guests who have not booked any services.
3. Should I arrive with no makeup on?
Yes! I request that you arrive with a bare, clean face. If you arrive with a full face already applied you will be turned away.
4. How long does an appointment take?
Appointments are approximately 1 hour & 15 minutes long. Bridal trials can vary between 1.5 - 2 hours as it involves discussion and trialing different colours and techniques. The length of editorial or photography makeup can be determined when enquiring.
5. What do I do if I am sick?
If you arrive with a contagious illness or infection I reserve the right to turn you away. Please cancel your appointment if you have been sick 48 hours of your appointment. Additionally, I refuse to work on any client with any contraindications (cold sores, skin infections and eye infections).
*IMPORTANT NOTICE - CHANGES BEYOND OUR CONTROL
If a significant change has occurred for reasons beyond our control, then to the fullest extent permitted by law but not otherwise, we are not liable to compensate you. These include war, threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, pandemics and epidemics, health risks, changes due to event rescheduling or cancellation, closed or congested airports or ports, severe or potentially severe weather conditions, acts of government or public authorities or other circumstances to develop force majeure and/or Acts of God.
Deposits will be made transferable if any of the circumstances above occur, subject to availability. Deposits will remain non - refundable.
